Tax Accountant
Trinity Industries is hiring a Tax Accountant in our Dallas, TX office! This position is for someone with 0-2 years of experience in corporate income tax.
What you'll do:
- Prepare large consolidated federal tax return
- Facilitate 3rd party preparation of state tax returns, estimates, and extensions
- Assist in year end and quarterly ASC 740 calculations
- Research pertinent tax issues and write memos
- There will be some overtime required during year end tax provision and tax return due dates. About 10% to 15% overtime is expected.
What you'll need:
- 1 year experience in corporate taxation
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent-specializing in Tax (preferred)
- Work with third party on outsourced state tax returns
- Big 4 preferred
- Pursuing CPA or CPA eligible
- Knowledge of corporate taxation
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Organization skills
- Self- starter and proactive
- Knowledge of OneSource OIT -preferred
