The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the Structured Finance Group as it is envisioned that this resource will bring both analytical aptitude and a broad based business skill set to the team while being prepared to learn the intricacies related to railcar asset investment activities.
The role will also act internally within TrinityRail as a facilitator building relationships and effectively working across different functional TrinityRail business groups including portfolio management, capital markets, maintenance services and financial planning
Responsibilities
- Obtain and analyze railcar build and portfolio information from TrinityRail internal information systems.
- Craft transaction structures to fit specific investment and portfolio optimization opportunities.
- Analyze economic sensitivities presented by various financing structures and scenarios.
- Drive internal evaluation and approval process for TrinityRail investment opportunities.
- Learn to create effective customer proposals.
- Effectively present business solutions internally and to customers.
- Support TrinityRail’s Commercial Team as structured finance product expert during customer interaction
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum three years in a Financial Analysis role preferably in lease or asset finance
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex data sets with an intuitive sense of financial implications
- Effective team player with ability to foster internal cross functional relationships
- Develop and present recommendations to executive committee regarding strategy and collaborate on developing accompanying tactical plans
- Ability to thrive in a project based work environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including investment modeling) and all other Microsoft Office products
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex data sets
