The Trinity Industries Finance team is seeking a Sr. Analyst in Fixed Assets based at the Dallas, TX office. 

 

This role is responsible for Maintenance of Fixed Asset Sub Ledgers, Capital Project Management, Reconciliations and Management Reporting and Projections, and will ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

What you’ll do:

 

  • Contribute to the centralization of Fixed Asset processes within Trinity and the “insourcing” of Fixed Asset processes from EXL
  • Collaborate with internal business partners on implementation projects for budget/actual/forecast reporting
  • Prepare month end accrual support for ongoing projects
  • Ensure all financial transactions relating to fixed assets are properly recorded, filed, and reported, and related accounts are appropriately reconciled and controlled
  • Optimize processes and ensure continual improvement by identifying and leveraging Trinity’s BPO provider to provide services at a lower cost
  • Interact with key internal business stakeholders (Leasing, Tax, Corporate Accounting…) to ensure alignment on key performance objectives and strategies
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Oracle Fixed Asset module to include the standard reporting package & lead the testing related to the Cloud Implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant corporate policies and procedures for supported operational functions  
  • Lead the process of creating or updating all of our Fixed Asset Policies & Procedures for the group to be used both internally among our group and cross functionally
  • Provide process and systems training to team members and key stakeholders within the organization

What you’ll need:

 

  • 5+ years related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills
