Program Manager, Portfolio Management
TrinityRail is hiring a Portfolio Manager in our corporate office in Dallas, Texas!
This position will report to the Vice President of Portfolio Management and is primarily responsible for supporting the leasing of railcar equipment to various customers.

What you'll do:
- Work with a team to create and develop railcar lease assignments and renewals resulting in increased utilization, financial performance and a premier customer experience
- Collaborate with TrinityRail peers to develop pricing and marketing strategies to develop opportunities for the growth of our business
- Work with Marketing and Commercial counterparts to create measurable account strategies
- Create strategies to improve fleet utilization and return on investment in fleet
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, delivery, etc.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations and Customer Service to quote existing assets to meet customer requirements
- Prepare competitive analysis and assist with recommendations for potential and/or existing customers/businessBe a strategic problem solver – willing to develop and present recommendations to executive management
- Be responsible for all aspects of assignment process to deliver existing railcars to customers in a timely manner
- Lead project teams responsible for implementation of approved Portfolio Management processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Document and maintain integrity of processes; make recommendations for improvements
- Develop Strategies for Additional Revenue Growth
- Provide Forward Looking Revenue Forecasts to FP&A
- In-Source All Industry Data to Pro-Actively Manage and Forecast Per Diem Revenue
- Analyze Monthly Car Hire Data and identify revenue opportunities related to utilization and rates
- Proactively Manage Key Initiatives / Opportunities to Attain Revenue Plan
- Audit all per diem leased cars to ensure all proper payments are being made
- Issue a monthly dashboard for Per Diem that identifies earning trends, risks, and opportunities
- Manage the Execution and Reporting of the Per Diem Operating Plan and Forecasts
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain required; MBA is a plus
- 3-5 years of relevant experience – experience in Financial Analysis a plus
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex data sets with an intuitive sense of financial and operational implication
- Industry related experience in leasing, operations and / or experience in market specific areas in which we compete including energy, chemicals, agriculture, construction, metals or consumer products is a plus
- Effective communication skills – both verbal and written
- Works independently and in a collaborative environment – self-starter
- Advanced computer literacy with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment necessary to be successful
- Ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence system a plus
