Are you looking for a new job? Trinity Highway may be looking for you! Trinity Highway Products is hiring a Staff Accountant in their Addison, TX Headquarters!
What you'll do:
- Provides accounting services including accounts payable, general ledger, inventory control, product cost and labor or inventory analysis, as well as managerial, financial, and regulatory reporting.
- Prepares monthly financial, operational, and statistical reports
- Manages monthly accounting close and prepares journal entries as needed
- Prepares variance analysis and explanations
- Monitors cost and spending activity
- Conducts various cost system studies and analyses
- Assist with the control of inventory, including compliance with cycle count program, & physical inventory count and control procedures.
- Uses independent judgment to solve routine problems and makes recommendations on complex issues
- If needed, candidate must be able to travel
- Provides management support and assistance as necessary
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting -- Master's, CPA or CPA equivalent is not required
- Recent grad to two years relevant experience in plant level manufacturing environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience in all other Microsoft Office products
- Must possess effective communications skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to comprehend and interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ability to work in a team environment across all levels of the organization is essential
