TrinityRail is searching for a Program Director for Manufacturing Business Development based at the Dallas, Texas campus. 

This critical position will be responsible for evaluating and driving operational growth opportunities to completion through cross functional teams and excellent project management. This position will work across high performing cross functional teams responsible for all parts of Trinity’s integrated platform.  The successful candidate will own and deliver performance across key growth opportunities. They will be the face to the business unit leadership and operations leadership while ensuring day to day operations are delivered, opportunities are evaluated properly and executed, and drive top line growth of the business.

What you’ll do:

  • Own day to day cross functional activities that are involved in driving business opportunities forward, deliver monthly meetings to executive leadership highlighting growth project plans, work to develop new growth ideas with the marketing strategy, commercial and operational teams
  • Develop strong internal relationships enabled through internal collaborative relationships across the entire organization
  • Build proactive communication protocols to manage and exceed expectations
  • Identify and execute opportunity project plans to “anticipate & exceed customer needs”
  • Maintain core operations skills including rail industry technical acumen
  • Handle challenging conversations (internally and externally), by creating workable solutions
  • Create a “one team” mindset and environment in support of growing the manufacturing business
  • Be a change agent across the enterprise in support of delivering our overall strategic plan
  • Drive success through prioritizing safety, quality, and the customer experience in every growth opportunity

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5+ years proven manufacturing operations and/or business development experience
  • Rail industry background or leasing experience
  • Technical background with manufacturing acumen
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills with the ability to engage at all levels including front line, executive and directly with Customer’s and Vendor’s
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for managing relationships with stakeholders and across a matrixed organization (sales, finance, capacity planning, operations, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong process, data and problem solving skills
  • Collaborative & accountable style with an ability to build strong partnerships at all levels of the business
  • Seen as a role model change agent
  • High energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong business maturity and acumen
  • Technology savvy including familiar with CRM systems, SaaS and big data
