Materials Supervisor
TrinityRail is hiring a Materials Supervisor at our Jonesboro plant.

What you’ll do:

Ability to follow directions and instructions from the department manager
-
Promotes and mandates a safe work environment
-
Supervise fulfillment/expediting of inter-company requirements
-
Oversee creation/distribution and maintenance of adequate work orders

Ensure all materials are available for successful execution on shop floor
-
Coordinates, supervises, and schedules the daily activities of hourly employees
-
Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other department leaders
-
Manages the assignment of work, scheduling of work; the monitoring of work as completed to ensure the required results are achieved in the most efficient manner

Promotes and embraces daily continuous improvement within the department
-
Works with department manager to ensure employee time is coded, employee performance appraisals are conducted, department MRO goals are met, and disciplinary measures are performed as required

What you’ll need:
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Minimum of 2 + years in a leadership role
-
Must have a working knowledge of blue print interpretation
-
Individual to receive hazmat awareness training
-
Experience providing training and presentations to a group of employees
-
Strong verbal communication skills
-
Maintain a professional attitude at all times

Must be willing to work extended hours as required
