This person will manage and coordinate the day-to-day and long-term production goals of the plant, working directly with plant leadership to ensure that production goals and objectives are achieved. They will specifically supervise the Mechanical, Cleaning, and Paint teams of the facility.
What you'll do:
- Provide a safe and secure workplace for plant employees
- Plan short-term and long-term production for the plant
- Be responsible for the daily operations of the mechanical team, cleaning team, and paint team
- Work with team supervisors and plant leadership to achieve and exceed important metrics
- Recommend and implement workflow improvements to ensure efficient operations
- Address issues related to plant production
- Effectively resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Recommend and implement programs to support customer needs
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 or more years related experience as a supervisor or manager in an industrial setting
- Experience in mechanical, cleaning, and painting operations in an industrial setting required
- Railcar experience required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Capability to plan work procedures, equipment, material, and human resource needs
- Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group as well as to perform as a member of the management team
- Experience and proficiency using MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
