Maintenance Manager
TrinityRail Maintenance Services is searching for a Maintenance Manager for our Shell Rock, IA facility. In this position, the Maintenance Manager will lead heavy industrial and facilities maintenance technician(s) and maintenance support. Work involves equipment, building, and facilities maintenance.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and lead maintenance employees
- Emphasize safety culture within maintenance ranks and throughout the plant
- Develop maintenance workforce knowledge, skills and abilities
- Manage capital projects and MRO expenses
- Develop and executes plans/strategies, third party relationships and specific programs in order to achieve business objectives.
- Work closely with management and production to set priorities.
- Periodically review safety requirements for personnel and equipment.
- Responsible for the safe direction of all employees and ensuring that all safety precautions, rules and regulations are followed and to manage the work of skilled craft workers and outside vendors/contractors within a heavy industrial facility.
What you’ll need:
- Experience managing employees.
- Work history emphasizing safety.
- Work history in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance and repair; cranes and combustion experience.
- Experience managing capital projects.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite.
- At least 5 years of related experience in heavy industry.
