Entry Mobile Repair Technician
TrinityRail Maintenance Services is hiring an Entry Mobile Repair Technician at our Manly, Iowa plant.

What you'll do:

Conducts railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.

Performs repairs as necessary while always using current repair procedures.

Meets the expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Ensures all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate and complete.

Has the ability to pass any required NDT disciplines and function specific certifications, which may include tank car welding, and demonstrates strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.

Actively participates in safety assessments, equipment inspections.

Able to perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.

Follows all safety rules and practices.

May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to learn basic railcar knowledge.

Ability to remove and reapply valves and able to use basic hand and power tools

Ability to obtain the following within 6 - 12 months (timeline and required test depend on specific location): Welding and Airbrake Test certifications.

Ability to learn basic knowledge of how to read Engineering drawings

Ability to pass DOT Requirements is a plus Understand and perform all work outlined under Supervision
